Pando Solana ETF Begins Trading in Hong Kong

Pando Finance's spot Solana exchange-traded fund began trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on October 13, 2026, under stock code 2831. Listed under the name PANDO SOL, the fund directly holds Solana (SOL) and trades in a standard board lot size of 100 shares. The listing was formally acknowledged through HKEX's new-listing record and an accompanying trading circular, confirming the product's regulatory standing within Hong Kong's financial markets.

The launch follows Hong Kong's broader push to establish itself as a regulated hub for digital asset investment products. The city's securities regulator has progressively expanded the scope of approved crypto ETFs since authorizing spot Bitcoin and Ether funds in 2024, with Solana representing a further step in that expansion. A spot structure means the fund holds the underlying asset directly, distinguishing it from derivatives-based products and offering investors more straightforward price exposure to SOL.

The addition of a spot Solana ETF on a major regulated exchange broadens institutional and retail access to the asset without requiring investors to manage private keys or engage directly with crypto infrastructure. It also signals continued appetite among asset managers to bring altcoin exposure into traditional financial frameworks, particularly in Asian markets where regulatory clarity has moved ahead of some Western jurisdictions.

Analysts will be watching early trading volumes and fund flows to gauge investor demand, as well as whether additional altcoin ETF applications follow in Hong Kong or neighboring markets.
