Bitwise Hyperliquid ETF to start trading on NYSE this Friday

The Bitwise Hyperliquid ETF will offer staking through the company’s in-house staking division Bitwise Onchain Solutions.

Bitwise Asset Management will launch its Hyperliquid ETF on the New York Stock Exchange this Friday, marking another milestone in the expanding crypto ETF landscape. The fund will offer investors exposure to Hyperliquid's native token while incorporating staking capabilities through Bitwise's in-house division, Bitwise Onchain Solutions.

Hyperliquid operates as a decentralized perpetual exchange built on its own Layer 1 blockchain, allowing users to trade derivatives with on-chain order books. The platform has gained traction in the decentralized finance space by offering high-performance trading infrastructure without relying on traditional centralized exchanges. Bitwise's decision to create an ETF around Hyperliquid represents the asset manager's continued expansion into specialized crypto investment products beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum offerings.

The integration of staking services within the ETF structure reflects the growing sophistication of crypto investment products. By enabling staking through Bitwise Onchain Solutions, the fund aims to generate additional yield for investors while maintaining the regulatory compliance required for exchange-traded products. This approach could set a precedent for future crypto ETFs seeking to maximize returns through native blockchain participation rewards.

Market participants will be watching the ETF's initial trading performance and institutional adoption rates. The success of this specialized crypto ETF could influence regulatory attitudes toward more complex DeFi-focused investment products and potentially accelerate approval processes for similar offerings.
